Sheena has been involved with horses since she was born. Her father, Gerald, was a formidible point to point rider and talented show jumper. His quiet understanding way with horses met with considerable success. Sheena has inherited this understanding and patience and has put it to good use training racehorses.
Sheena owned, trained and rode a winner at her first attempt point to pointing and in 2001, she realised her ambition to hold a public trainers licence. Over the past five years Sheena's string has grown and her tally of winners continues to grow each year.
Never one to sidestep a challenge, Sheena has had notable results in big races. It's Wallace chasing home Barracouda in the Stayers Hurdle at Sandown was an inspired entry and provided his happy owners with a day to remember.
Equally at home at the local tracks, one thing that you can be sure of is that when her horses leave for the races they are fit and ready to run.
